What Is a Comprehensive Exam?
A comprehensive dental exam is more than a quick look at your teeth. At Remcon Prime Dental, Dr. Kim performs a detailed evaluation of your entire oral health — including your teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and soft tissues — to detect any issues early and create a personalized care plan.
What We Check During Your Exam
Tooth-by-tooth evaluation — decay, fractures, worn enamel
Gum & bone assessment — signs of gum disease or bone loss
Bite & jaw joint (TMJ) evaluation — alignment and function
Oral cancer screening — examination of lips, tongue, cheeks, and throat
Existing restorations — condition of fillings, crowns, and other dental work
Digital X-rays — full mouth or bitewing radiographs as needed
What Is a Professional Cleaning?
Even with excellent brushing and flossing at home, plaque and tartar build up in areas that are hard to reach. Our professional cleaning (prophylaxis) removes these deposits, polishes your teeth, and leaves your mouth feeling fresh and healthy.
How Often Should You Come In?
Most patients benefit from a cleaning and exam every 6 months. Patients with a history of gum disease may need more frequent visits — Dr. Kim will recommend the right schedule for you.
